Postgraduate Studies

Hello, in this blog I will talk about the postgraduate study I want to do.

Currently, I am a psychology student, and after finishing my career I want to obtain a diploma in Legal Psychology and specialize in Forensic Psychological Evaluation.

I am interested in this area because I want to delve into the practice of expert psychological evaluation, involved in judicial processes in the context of the current Chilean justice system.

In Criminal Justice, forensic psychologists collaborate in evaluating the mental competence of a defendant, others help preparing victims of a crime to testify or resume their normal activities. They also collaborate in the criminal investigation helping to define the profile of a criminal.

I would like to study subjects related to the psychological interpretation of criminal evidence and criminal profiles.

For this, I would like to study in Chile, at the Pontificia Universidad Católica de Chile (UC). This course lasts for 1 year, so it would suit me to study in a mixed system.

My plan is to work at PDI as a forensic psychologist. However, if I have the opportunity, I would like to study and work in the United States. If so, I would love to work as a psychologist at the FBI, but for that I must improve my English a lot, as it is difficult for me.

That's all.
