A country I would like to visit: Japan


Every time I think of visiting a place, Japan enters in my mind. I am very interested in that country, since its culture is very peculiar and enriched, and it also has very beautiful natural landscapes. Japan makes me curious, and I think when I visit it, many things will surprise me.

Japan is an island nation from east Asian, therefore, since it does not have land borders, theoretically it does not have neighboring countries. It has big cities, and its capital, Tokyo, is well known for its skyscrapers, commerce, and pop culture. I would like to stay for a long vacation to try their different foods and to know how Japanese people live.

Honestly, it isn’t a country where I would like to study, to work or to live for different reasons. Their language is very complex to me because they use 3 types of letters, "hiragana", "katakana" and "kanji". Also, their culture is extremely different from mine, and I think it would take me a lot to get used to there. In short, I would like to get to know Japan and learn about its culture as a temporary visitor. That's all.

My Best Holiday Ever The best holiday I've ever had in my life was when I was 10 years old. I remember that I and my father went to my paternal grandmother's home, located in “Monte Águila”, a small town in the Biobío region. We stayed there for two weeks and we visited many places. When we arrived, I insisted a lot to my father to go to a river, and a few days later we went to the “Salto el Laja” with him, an uncle and a cousin. That day was great, we had a lot of fun bathing in the river. Days later we went to an uncle´s place who had many horses and I learned to ride one. We also went for a walk to the forest and visited an aunt who lived there, although we almost got lost :( Finally, when it was the last day of being there, my grandma gave me a box with beans and sausages, because my favorite dish is “porotos con rienda”. She also gave me some money :) I remember that vacation a lot, because I really enjoyed it, it was almost like a dream! That's all.

  What's like to study psychology? Hello again! In this post I’ll talk a little about my career. I’m a second year student of psychology at the University of Chile. I chose this career for various reasons. However, I have to say that when I was a little kid, I wanted to be a lab scientist. Then I became interested in psychology.
